Point Reyes Lighthouse

Point Reyes Lighthouse. I finally made it!

This is where I was headed when I had a little accident the other day...

I first tried to go to Point Reyes Lighthouse in July 2010. I was on a long weekend ride on my Honda Shadow, in San Francisco for a Susan Enan concert. I got most of the way to the lighthouse when I ran out of time, and had to turn back!

I tried again this week, on Monday, but a getting the side case knocked off my bike in a collision prevented me from making it to the lighthouse.

Today, I finally made it all the way! In my rental car!


It is about a half-mile walk to the visitor center from the parking lot. (There are a few closer parking spaces for the handicapped.)


Around the corner from the visitor center, there is a staircase of 308 steps, equivalent to a 30-story descent, to get down to the lighthouse!



I'm a tourist, right? Gotta get a shot of myself here...
